"Gender Politics and Global South Women's Engagement in Science" (Online): This panel celebrates women's engagement in science with a strong focus on the presence and impact of female scientists in Antarctica, Tanzania, and Portugal. Panelists will discuss the challenges and barriers of patriarchy in the production of knowledge, revisit advances in gender and labor rights in the discipline, and investigate the unique perspectives brought by women in science - especially in the fields of biology, environmental science, wildlife management, conservation. 12 noon - 1:30 p.m. This is part of the School for International Training's "Spring 2021 Critical Conversations Webinar Series".
