Pets

BRATTLEBORO Microchip Clinic: Microchips are the ID that stays with your pet no matter what kind of trouble your furry kids get into. Microchips are awesome, but they do require a scanner, which your average person does not have. This is why we recommend personalized ID tags for dogs, and break away collars with your phone number written on it for cats. Most folks who find your cat or dog will give you a call or even deliver your animal to you, no need to spend a night at the shelter. All canine participants in today's clinic will also get a personalized ID tag, and all felines will get two reflective, break-away collars. $30. Windham County Humane Society, 916 West River Rd. Make an appointment: 802-254-2232, info@windhamcountyhumane.org, www.windhamcountyhumane.org.

WESTMINSTER Democratic Town Committee Reorganization (In Person and/or Zoom): This month, Democrats are reorganizing their town committees in all 22 towns of Windham County. We're seeing a pattern of behavior from extreme right-wing groups using anger and conspiracy to dominate the civil discourse in our local and state government. Even if you cannot join the reorganization meeting, please sign up to be a member for your town's committee. 6:30 p.m. This reorganization occurs every two years. This year it's especially important for voters to join their town's committee. Democratic town committees provide us opportunity to organize in support of candidates and policies that are committed to a Vermont that serves all Vermonters. Westminster Town Office, 3651 US-5.
