Multimedia

Conversation: Natalie Frank "Painting with Paper" and Curator Elissa Watters (Zoom and Facebook Live): Natalie Frank is a multimedia artist who explores contemporary discourse on feminism, sexuality, and violence. She works directly with wet pigmented paper pulp to make portraits of women with animal counterparts who act as talismans, spirit guides, or alter egos. Simultaneously beautiful and grotesque, these dynamic portraits both reference and challenge the construction of feminine identity and conventional gender norms. She and curator Elissa Watters will discuss Frank's process and her work on view in the exhibit "Painting with Paper.". 7 p.m. A recording will be available afterwards. ("Painting with Paper" can be viewed Wed.-Sun., 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., through 2/13 at the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center.). Free. Zoom. Information: Register: https://tinyurl.com/vzszyb7v.
