BRATTLEBORO Northern Roots Festival (In Person and YouTube Live Stream): Music from the Scottish and Cape Breton traditions with sets from two separate duos: Dan Hougton and Rachel Clemente showcase music for Harp and Scottish pipes. National Scottish Fiddle Champion Hanneke Cassel and guitarist Yann Falquet offer the raucous edge of Cape Breton fiddling. Plus a selection of great traditional songs from Arthur Davis and Emma Schneider, two local singers. Plus recent Brattleboro emigres, Karen Axelrod (piano) and Rachel Bell (accordion), two of the finest exponents of English Country Dance music, share music from that tradition. Explore Ways to Embrace and Maintain Wellness with Certified Wellness Coach Carol Jones (via Zoom or Phone): Carol collaborates with individuals in transforming their values and desires into action and lasting change over time. This offering is sponsored by the Rockingham Library. 5:30-6:30 p.m. every other Friday. Carol is a graduate of the Wellness Coach Training Program at the Mayo Clinic.
