NEWFANE Rock River Players' Open Auditions for two One-Acts, Jennifer Jasper's "Here, Gus" and David Ives' "The Philadelphia": "Here, Gus" is about a woman who returns to her estranged father's apartment after his death to deal with what he's left behind including Gus, his best friend, a dog. Roles: Gretchen, a successful businesswoman; Gus, a dog (w/ no costume denoting a "dog" or any other canine affectation); Caroline, a neighbor; George, Gretchen's father. "The Philadelphia" by Davis Ives takes place in a restaurant when a man is informed by a friend that his frustratingly unlucky day is the result of his ensnarement in an anomalous pocket of reality. Choose 3/11, 5-8 p.m. or 3/13, 12 noon-3 p.m. Allow 1/2 hour to audition. Roles are: Al - easy going, to a point; Mark - frazzled; a waitress - burnt out on the service industry. The plays are part of an evening of one-acts which opens the Rock River Players' 2022 season June 3-5, Williamsville Hall. Free.
