PUTNEY House of Waters - Genre-bending Jazz and Prog Rock Fusion Trio: Lauded as "The Jimi Hendrix of Hammered Dulcimer" by NPR, Max ZT is an innovator of the instrument. His fresh perspective and bold experimentalism have been the backbone to beautiful, complex, and genuine compositions, while his unorthodox playing style has been a pioneering force in revolutionizing dulcimer techniques. Moto Fukushima accompanied such greats as Joe Lovano, Mike Stern, Dave Weckl and redefined the role of the bass with a strong background in jazz improvisation, Western classical and the African inspired music of South America. Drummer for this show is jazz, Afro-Latin, klezmer percussionist Richie Barshay who's performed with Klezmatics, Herbie Hancock, Lee Konitz, Esperanza Spalding, Chick Corea. 7:30 p.m. Proof of vaccination or negative COVID test within 48 hours required. KEENE Kat Wright: Burlington's soul singer has been described as "a young Bonnie Raitt meets Amy Winehouse." She'll perform with Bob Wagner (guitar) and Josh Weinstein (bass). The acoustic trio made its live debut supporting The Wood Brothers in early 2020 with stops at the newly reopened Webster Hall in New York City, The Fillmore in Philadelphia Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. In 2019 she teamed up with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra for a sold-out show featuring Wright songs and classical works. 8 p.m. $25 in advance, $28 day of show.
