Local history

"The Great Falls Petroglyphs and Their Meaning" (via Zoom): Join Dr. Michael J. Fuller for a conversation about the meanings of petroglyphs created around the world, while referencing a local site: the petroglyphs at the Great Falls in present-day Bellows Falls (known to the Abenaki as Kchi Ponteku). Fuller has participated in over 60 archaeological surveys and excavations, including visiting and documenting the petroglyphs in Bellows Falls in 2014. DUMMERSTON Meals offered by Evening Star Grange and Senior Solutions (Eat-in/Take-Out): Corned Beef Hash, vegetarian option of Tortellini with Spinach Casserole, Green Bean Casserole, and Cole Slaw with mixed Fruit Cobbler for dessert. 11:30-1 p.m. take-out; 12 noon in-person.
