Performing arts

SAXTONS RIVER Auditions: "The Books of ALICE and Wonderland": Directed/written by Sean Roberts, this engaging interpretation offers a fresh but faithful adaptation of the works of Lewis Carroll. Adults and youth 11-and-up are invited to come prepared with a minute-long monologue. Instead of cold reads, auditioners will participate in improvisational theater games. Come with ideas for a spooky but adorable interpretation of the story. A full schedule and script will be handed out at auditions. 6:30-8:30 p.m. auditions (either day come for the full 2 hours). Dress for comfort/movement. Those wishing to work backstage - come prepared to speak with the director about your technical skills and interest in the play. Technical rehearsals for backstage begin 5/10 with rehearsals every Tues. and Wed. from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Acting rehearsals begin 5/31, running the same days of the week. Tech week: 7/26-28.
