Visual arts and shows

BELLOWS FALLS Art Month in Bellows Falls: Celebrating the artists, events, shops, restaurants that contribute year-round to the cultural richness and economic stability of the community. Culminates with Open Studio Weekend: 5/28 and 29. 33 Bridge will host a mix of seven artists exhibiting there - along with music and food during the weekend. Artists participating include: Nick Kekic, blown glass; Clare Adams, painted glass, Teresa Hall, pottery, Mike Lewis, stone; Scott Morgan, paintings on canvas and guitars; Shannon Parker, jewelry; Jeanette Staley, canvas floor cloths. In addition, visitors are invited to the studios of Phyllis Rosser, Robert McBride and Mindy Fisher, as well as the River Artisans Cooperative, Canal Street Gallery and Main Street Arts in Saxton River. Celebration kicks off 5/9 with an exhibition at Flat Iron Cooperative of artists participating in the 30th anniversary of the Vermont Crafts Council's Open Studio tour on Memorial Day weekend. Vermont Public Service announces Nuclear Decommissioning Citizens Advisory Panel (via Zoom/Phone): NorthStar and Vermont State Agencies will provide updates of recent Vermont Yankee (VY) decommissioning activities. BRATTLEBORO Trivia Night to Benefit the Afghan Community Center: There is no requirement to be good at Trivia, just a willingness to come out and have some fun and support a great cause! Hosted along with the Brattleboro Sunrise Rotary Club. Open to all. 6:30 p.m. (6 p.m. doors open).
