BRATTLEBORO From the Parlor to the Polling Place: Stories and Songs from the Suffragists: Singer and historian Linda Radtke, in period garb and a "Votes for Women" sash, celebrates the centennial of the passage of the 19th Amendment, which gave the right to vote to white women. Radtke, a classically trained singer, was a Vermont high school teacher for 31 years and now produces the VPR Choral Hour on Vermont Public Radio. 7 p.m. Hosted by the VT Humanities Council. Free. BRATTLEBORO Organist and Jazz Music Prof. Theresa Chen presents Sacred Works and Jazz for the Pipe Organ: Enjoy liturgical music and organ transcriptions of jazz standards. Chen will play pieces she has adapted for the pipe organ by ragtime and jazz composers, such as Scott Joplin and Vernon Duke, in addition to music celebrating Pentecost by classical composers such as Johan Sebastian Bach and Franz Joseph Haydn. 12 noon.
