Robinson paintings head to Crowell Gallery

NEWFANE — “Limitless,” an exhibition of oil paintings by Gianna Robinson, will be on display through August at the Crowell Gallery at Moore Free Library, 23 West St.

The gallery will host a reception outside on Saturday, Aug. 1, from noon to 2 p.m.

Robinson, who grew up in Vermont and now lives and paints in Newfane, appreciates the sense of place, calling it her greatest muse. Capturing the green hills, waterscapes, sunrises, and sunsets alive with birds, trees, and flowers inspires her to put brush to canvas.

“I love being outside, but if I must be inside, it helps my soul to bring some nature with me,” she said in a news release, adding that she hopes her paintings “will bring peace, love, [and] expansiveness, and remind the viewer of their own special times and places.”

The Moore Free Library observes COVID-19 guidelines and will limit the number of patrons inside the gallery.

Free admission follows the open hours of the Moore Free Library: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1 to 5 p.m., Wednesdays and Fridays, 2 to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
