BRATTLEBORO—The 5th Annual Southern Vermont Fiber Event takes place Saturday, Nov. 21, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the American Legion Hall, 32 Linden St., Brattleboro, Vt.
A wide variety of vendors will sell fiber and products from llamas, alpacas, sheep, goats, rabbits, and spun dog hair.
Also for sale will be knitted, crocheted and woven items, weaving and spinning supplies, needle-felted creations and kits, drop spindles, quilts, yarn, roving, cards, photographs, and much more.
The featured farm is Marble Meadows of Wallingford, Vt., purveyors of Cotswold sheep, wool sculptures, roving, wedding cake tops, and other necessary and discretionary wool products.
New this year is the Fiber Raffle. Tickets are $2 and the drawing will be held Nov. 21, 3 p.m.
First prize is an Ashford Traditional Single Drive Spinning Wheel, second prize is a Golding Fiber Tools Drop Spindle "The Shepherdess," and third prize, a large basket of fiber products and tools.
Spinning and drop spindle demonstrations will take place throughout the day, along with door prizes.
Food will be available for purchase.
