This letter makes me think of email chain letters, where if I don't say “amen” to something someone sends me, as one example, then bad things will happen.
I never do them. Not because I don't believe in saying “amen,” but I am just more private about it.
So, just because a merchant doesn't post a sign in the window, it doesn't mean they aren't of the same mind.
