A big raise for Co-op employees

The Brattleboro Food Co-op is pleased to share that thanks to the outstanding support of our community we are providing a meaningful increase in pay to all team members. Effective June 26, our minimum starting wage for all positions rose from $13.44 per hour to $15 per hour.

Additionally, all team members (with the exception of the general manager) received an increase in pay commensurate with this adjustment to the minimum starting pay.

The Co-op is a union team, and our world has changed significantly since the last contract negotiation. The COVID-19 pandemic, political and civil unrest, war in Ukraine, and disruptions due to climate change have had a significant impact on supply chain, labor, housing, and overall inflation. This materially changed the economic environment that our employees are facing. We thank the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union Local 1459 for the advocacy, guidance, and partnership that helped make this increase possible.

We will continue to offer other great benefits, including generous paid vacation, sick and personal time off, paid holidays, 401(k) with a Co-op match, tuition reimbursement, employee discount, and robust health, dental, and life insurance.
