Bos-Lun, Goldman: accomplished legislators

WESTMINSTER-As we approach the general election, I encourage voters in District 3 (Westminster, Brookline, and Rockingham) to take a close look at the legislative accomplishments of Rep. Michelle Bos-Lun and Rep. Leslie Goldman.

Michelle Bos-Lun has served in the House for two terms (four years) and is running again this election cycle to hold her seat.

She has worked tirelessly to help solve many of the pressing issues facing our towns, county, and state. She has been a stalwart supporter of forward-looking proposals to curb carbon dioxide emissions, cut fossil fuel dependency, and find ways to mitigate the rapidly increasing negative effects of climate change.

Michelle recognizes the dire need for housing and associated funding solutions. She supported a proposed tax on only 1.1% of Vermonters - those with incomes exceeding $500,000. The bill was endorsed by more than 30 of Vermont's wealthiest people, including ice cream magnates Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield. The tax-bracket change was projected to raise over $74 million annually in state revenue and would have funded the building of much-needed affordable housing.
