KidsPLAYce celebrates the Month of the Young Child with pinwheels

BRATTLEBORO — In celebration of April's nationally recognized Month of the Young Child, KidsPLAYce is challenging the community to cover its lawns, fill its storefronts, and adorn public spaces with pinwheels to show love for children and families in the community and to support KidsPLAYce.

From April 1 through April 30, giant carnival-themed pinwheels will be for sale for $10 each at KidsPLAYce, the Brattleboro Food Co-op, and Beadniks. Everyone is invited to decorate lawns or balconies, spread the word to friends and neighbors and help them sell a thousand pinwheels by the end of April. They ask that you save and reuse these pinwheels next April during the Month of the Young Child for this community show of support for children and families.

Established in 1983, KidsPLAYce is a not-for-profit organization in downtown Brattleboro that has served three generations of children and families. An indoor playspace for children ages birth to eight, their parents, and caregivers, KidsPLAYce provides an opportunity to play, learn and grow together, according to a news release.
