Susan Wilson, Anna Koloseike exhibit works at Crowell Gallery

NEWFANE — “To Watch, To Wait and To Wonder: Works in Clay,” a show partnering ceramic artists Susan Wilson and Anna Koloseike, will be on exhibit in the Crowell Gallery at the Moore Free Library from Sept. 1 to 29.

An opening reception will be held on Saturday, Sept. 3, from 3 to 6 p.m., according to a news release. As always, Crowell Gallery exhibits are free and open to the public.

Wilson's work in clay is about finding her place in the world. Using figurative imagery, she creates a narrative of connections to her secrets, dreams, fears and hopes.

Koloseike's figurative sculptures explore themes of our shared human experience imbued with ironic humor, inviting the audience to identify, reflect, and question.

Both artists have backgrounds teaching art and are well known and respected in galleries across the country. Wilson works from her studio in Putney, while Koloseike's studio is a bit further away, in Asheville, N.C.
