Vernon Community News continues publishing under new editors

VERNON — Two veteran news professionals have taken over publishing and editing the monthly Vernon Community News.

Former Brattleboro Reformer Publisher Martin Langeveld is the principal editor, and long-time WTSA News Director and current Town Clerk Tim Arsenault is an editor. (During his tenure at WTSA, Arsenault was known as Tim Johnson.)

In the March issue of the Vernon Community News, publisher and editor Bronna Zlochiver announced it would be the final newsletter unless someone else took over. Zlochiver started the newsletter in January, 2015.

The first issue was released on Sunday, April 2, representing no interruption in the newsletter's publication.

In the April issue, Arsenault and Langeveld write, “We would welcome further assistance, so please be in touch if you would like to help.” They also seek news items and event listings from Vernon-based “organizations, businesses, municipal boards and committees, churches, schools, clubs and individuals.”

Langeveld told The Commons the newsletter now has nearly 300 subscribers. He invites new subscribers to contact him at [email protected].
