Carolyn Harris is featured artist at Wardsboro Library

WARDSBORO — Carolyn Harris is the featured Artist of the Month for June and July at the Wardsboro Public Library, 170 Main St.

Harris is a multi-tasking crafter, seamstress, and accomplished quilter. She has been sewing since she was a young girl, when she sewed all her own school clothes.

Her focus has evolved more towards crafting and now to her newest technique - paper piecing projects - which was learned at a workshop held at the Wardsboro Public Library, according to a news release.

After many years of teaching ending with guidance counseling, retirement allows Carolyn to split her time between her home in Massachusetts and her vacation home in West Wardsboro, where she still enjoys needlepoint, counted cross stitch, and knitting - not to mention outdoor winter activities and gardening.

She is an active member of the Saxtons River Artisans Cooperative in Bellows Falls.
