Write Action hosts potluck in Ashuelot

Write Action members and the public are invited to attend the annual potluck picnic at the 32M Writers and Creatives Retreat in Ashuelot, New Hampshire, on Saturday, Aug. 16, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Highlights of the day include networking, news about writers' work, an open reading, a sign-up for the 2025 Brattleboro Literary Festival, the announcement of Spotlight readers for 2025, and food and drink.

32M Retreat Center is an artist-run resource for poets, writers, and creatives that offers time and quiet space to work on projects. Located on the beautiful Ashuelot River, 32M is an emerging space, centered on letterpress as its foundation. It is connected to Golgonooza Letter Foundry & Press. Center officials say their hope is to offer letterpress broadside printing workshops to writers and poets as well as offer other creative events.

Bring a dish and a piece of writing to share. Reading slots are four minutes. 32M is on Route 119, 10.6 miles from the Brattleboro Food Co-op. The retreat center is in a red brick building on the right. There will be a sign.

The rain date is Sunday, Aug. 17. For more information, email [email protected].
