Art inspired by Pinnacle lands on exhibit at MSA

SAXTONS RIVER — Art inspired by locally conserved land is on display through May 22 at Main Street Arts in an exhibit by the Windmill Hill Pinnacle Association.

Connections and Reflections: Art of the Pinnacle Lands features works that capture the land and forest world as seen through the eyes of 13 local artists in a variety of media, including oil, charcoal, acrylic, tile, watercolor, and giclee print. Most of the pieces are for sale, with proceeds to be shared between the artists, the Pinnacle Association and Main Street Arts.

The Pinnacle lands - with the inclusion of additions in the Bald Hill and Athens Dome areas - now consist of more than 1,808 acres in Rockingham, Athens, Grafton, Brookline, and Westminster. The publicly-accessible lands include a 20-mile hiking trail system and wildlife sanctuary.

Artists in the show are Ailyn Hoey, Karen Becker, Gib Taylor, Brian Cohen, Camilla Roberts, Colleen Grout, Nancy Callichio, Will Parmalee, Maggie Lake, Carol Keiser, Tim Allen, Alison Latham, and Doris Fredericks.

“We are very excited to be hosting our first art show here in our newly renovated space in conjunction with the Pinnacle,” said MSA Director Margo Ghia. “The pieces really pop out in the colorful, light-filled setting.”
