Parking Enforcement Office closed July 30–31, reopen in Municipal Center on Aug. 1
BRATTLEBORO - The Parking Enforcement Office will be temporarily relocating this summer from the Transportation Center to the Brattleboro Municipal Center to make way for renovations.
The Parking Enforcement Office will be closed on Wednesday, July 30, and Thursday, July 31. During this time, the public will not be able to make transactions at the window.
Online payment for parking fees will still be available at brattleboro.gov, and travel permits will be available to purchase at the Brattleboro Police Station at 62 Black Mountain Rd. Purchases made at the police station must be made with check or cash, with exact change. Parking permits will be unavailable to purchase on July 30 and 31.
While the Parking Enforcement Office is closed on July 30 and 31, parking enforcement will still be in effect and fees for parking will still apply.
On Friday, Aug. 1, the Parking Enforcement Office will reopen at its new, temporary location on the first floor of the Municipal Center at 230 Main Street in Brattleboro. Customers may pay at the window, located across the hall from the Assessor's Office (Suite 101).
Parking Enforcement will be housed in the Municipal Center while renovations to the Transportation Center are ongoing. Construction is estimated to be complete by the end of November 2025.

'Creemees For Community Media' benefits BCTV, WVEW
WEST BRATTLEBORO - Organic creemees, pick-your-own flowers, comfort food from 802 Soul Kitchen, live music from Daniel Hales, camera demonstrations, a live radio show, and "good media" are expected at this event at Lilac Ridge Farm, 264 Ames Hill Rd., on Wednesday, Aug. 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. say organizers. This is a benefit for, and organized by, community media centers Brattleboro Community TV (BCTV) and WVEW 107.7 FM.
BCTV broadcasts on Comcast Channels 1078 and 1079 and on their website brattleboro.tv. They have a massive video library located on the website in addition to their YouTube channel (@BrattleboroCommunityTV). While they record all of the area's Selectboard meetings, school board meetings, graduations, and other community events, they are also a resource for the community, as any person or organization can become a member and create media with BCTV equipment - training included.
WVEW broadcasts locally and streams online at wvew.org. With over 50 local DJs, locally originated content plays on the airwaves, ranging from music shows of all genres, interview shows, commentary, to occasional live coverage. Anyone can sign up to be a member, get trained on the equipment, and host their own show.
Both organizations are 501(c)3 nonprofits whose missions are to provide a platform and media resources to the people of the greater Brattleboro area. "In a time where media giants dominate the national landscape, local media resources have become more relevant and more important than ever," say organizers. "Creemees For Community Media" marks the first collaborative event between the two local media centers.
