Doozy Jane performs benefit concert at Main Street Arts

SAXTONS RIVER-Doozy Jane will perform a benefit concert supporting the Migrant Justice Center, a nonprofit that empowers immigrant farmworkers to organize for economic justice and human rights. The concert will be held at Main Street Arts, 35 Main St., Friday, April 17, at 6:30 p.m.

Doozy Jane “breathes fresh life into classic sounds with their four-part treble harmonies and contemporary feminist existence,” wrote organizers in a news release. Inspired by vocal harmonizers of popular music and Americana, Doozy Jane performs compositions by primarily female, nonbinary, and queer artists.

The quartet’s repertoire is curated, arranged, and sometimes composed by Anna Patton (clarinet, tenor guitar), and features Sarah Hadley Yakir (fiddle), Julia Read (fiddle, guitar), and Haley Anderson (bass).

Tickets are offered on a sliding scale of $10–$25, and can be purchased at mainstreetarts.org/benefit-concert.html.
