Twilight on the Tavern Lawn presents Flagship Romance and The Rough & Tumble June 28

PUTNEY-Twilight Music and Next Stage Arts Project continue the 23rd Twilight on the Tavern Lawn series of folk, world, jazz, zydeco, bluegrass, pop, and Americana music summer concerts Sunday, June 28, at 6 p.m. with contemporary folk duos Flagship Romance and The Rough & Tumble.

Flagship Romance is an alternative folk duo known for their harmonies and original material. Organizers wrote in a news release that the duo delivers “a dynamic live show that leaves audiences feeling like they just made two new best friends.”

Singer-songwriters Shawn Fisher and Jordyn Jackson are on a six-month cross-country U.S. tour after the release of their self-titled double album.

The Rough & Tumble is the folk-rock duo of Mallory Graham and Scott Tyler. Blending roots, Americana, and pop-leaning melodies, their music is “both intimate and joy-filled,” according to their website. Their songs are about love, resilience, and finding beauty in the everyday.

The Rough & Tumble performances “feel personal and communal at once. Their music reminds audiences why we gather around songs in the first place,” wrote organizers.

The seven-concert series continues every other Sunday through Aug. 23 in downtown Putney on the Putney Tavern lawn (bring a lawn chair or blanket) or at Next Stage at 15 Kimball Hill in case of rain. The concerts are free to the public (donations are accepted) and food will be available. For more information, call 802-387-5772 or visit nextstagearts.org.
