Bos-Lun: intelligence, energy, and genuine enthusiasm for helping others

WESTMINSTER WEST-I will vote for Michelle Bos-Lun on Tuesday, Aug. 11, and I am encouraging everyone in Windham-3 to do the same.

I met Michelle at one of the monthly Saturday Legislators at the Library meetings some years ago. I was working on an animal welfare issue and wanted to discuss and get support at the state level. I received both.

What impressed me right away was Michelle’s energy, her enthusiasm, and her desire to listen to my ideas and help with solutions. She was focused on what I had to say and open to carrying the message to Montpelier.

I’ve gotten to know Michelle much better over the years and continue to be impressed by her intelligence, energy, and genuine enthusiasm for helping others. She is fair and open to all her constituents. Whenever I’ve contacted Michelle, she always responds. You don’t get tuned out if your values and goals are different. She listens to all ideas. No one is ignored.

Michelle has been in service to others since she began her teaching career 30 years ago. She’s been a teacher, a program director, and a restorative justice practitioner. She also leads a yearly service program to Asia to support a nonprofit she co-directs in her spare time that supports three schools in India.

Bihar, where the schools are located, is very poor, and her nonprofit provides daily meals as well as education. Michelle saw the need and devised a strategy to help with local school directors. She brings friends and acquaintances with her, so if you’re interested in a fascinating trip that also helps kids in India, get in touch with her!

Michelle has lots of meet-and-greet events coming up this summer — come share your story, your questions, your needs. She will listen. And if you’re lucky that day, you’ll also get a sample of her chocolate- maple peanut butter bars. She’s also an awesome cook! Check out her website and her Facebook page for information.
