MANCHESTER-I’m writing to state my support for Molly Gray, who’s running for lieutenant governor in the Democratic primary. I look to a candidate’s record of experience and proven results when choosing who to vote for, and Molly’s record is strong. In her career so far, she has:
• Led the Vermont Afghan Alliance from 2023 to 2026 as its executive director. During this time, Molly and her staff worked to resettle and assist over 650 Afghan refugees and immigrants rebuilding their lives in the Green Mountains.
•Served as lieutenant governor of Vermont from 2021 to 2023. As such, Molly presided over the state Senate, focusing on economic recovery, rural broadband expansion, and agricultural support during the pandemic.
•Served as an assistant attorney general of Vermont, where she investigated the Catholic Church’s involvement in child sex abuse.
• Worked as a human rights lawyer and delegate for the International Committee of the Red Cross, where she engaged the U.S. government on humanitarian issues and led field missions in Haiti, Uganda, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Georgia, and the Western Balkans.
Experience matters, and that’s why I’m supporting her.
