BRATTLEBORO-Brattleboro’s first Porch Festival will take place Saturday, July 25, from 12:30 to 5 p.m. The Porch Festival is an invitation to visit various porches and backyard venues to enjoy local music, visit, and make friends, all while raising funds for a good cause. This year, all donations will go to Turning Point in Brattleboro.
The first stop, at 12:30 p.m., is 132 Sherwood Circle at Westgate in West Brattleboro for Jonathan Keane and New Mexican Standoff, an improvisational trio playing funk and rock on organ, drums, and guitar.
At 2:30 p.m., at 41 West St., in the “Swedeville” neighborhood in Brattleboro, Andy Davis offers original songs and tunes on accordion and piano.
The day concludes at 4 p.m., at 7 Chase St. near the town common, with Monkeys Up the Sleeve, a trio featuring Hanna Moors, Dave Cohen, and Rolf Parker that plays (mostly) original songs they’ve created at their weekly practice jams.
