ROCKINGHAM-The Great Falls Regional Chamber of Commerce announces Rockingham Old Home Days, happening Saturday, Aug. 2, at 17 Depot St. in Bellows Falls. This community celebration will run from noon to 8:30 p.m., closing out the day with a fireworks show at 9 p.m.
This year's event promises a full day of entertainment and activities for all ages. The music lineup kicks off at 1 p.m. with the Milkhouse Heaters, followed by Intercept at 2:30 p.m., and wrapping up with MV-19 taking the stage at 5:30 p.m. "The festival atmosphere will be alive with sound, laughter, and celebration," wrote event organizers in a news release.
Local food vendors will include Smokin' Bowls, 802 Soul Kitchen, Bumbles Birria, and Mama T's Sweet Spot. Athens Pizza will be serving as well as hosting a Hoops Contest for attendees to test their skills.The Moose Lodge will be grilling classic burgers and hot dogs. Fried dough, sno-cones, iced coffee, and lemonade will be available throughout the day.
Rockingham Old Home Days organizers said they will offer a packed schedule of activities. Festival-goers can take in performances by circus artists, see battling knights in armor, explore local craft vendors, and take part in interactive experiences like Capoeira demonstrations, fish ladder tours, and a hands-on Touch-A-Truck exhibit. Bubble machines, games, and prize giveaways will be offered with kids and families in mind.
