Spelling bee thanks

BELLOWS FALLS-On behalf of everyone involved in the Bellows Falls Rotary Club’s Second Annual Adult Spelling Bee, we sincerely thank the many sponsors, donors, volunteers, participants, and community members who made this year’s event such a tremendous success.

What began as a fun and friendly competition is becoming a meaningful community tradition — one filled with laughter, camaraderie, and an incredible spirit of generosity. The enthusiasm shown by local businesses, organizations, teams, and audience members reminds us just how strong and connected our community truly is.

Most importantly, support for the Spelling Bee is also support for the work Rotary does throughout our community. All funds raised through Rotary events help support local service projects, student scholarships, youth and literacy initiatives, community programs, and so much more. Rotary’s mission is rooted in “service above self,” and every sponsorship, donation, bribe purchased, and team registration helps us continue to give back.

We are especially grateful to our sponsors, whose generosity helped make the event possible. Their support reflects the generosity and community spirit that helps our community thrive. We are also incredibly grateful to the Bellows Falls Moose for the generous use of their facility and for helping provide such a welcoming space for this community event.

Thank you as well to the brave spelling teams who took on weird, complicated, and difficult words, the audience members who cheered them on, and the volunteers who worked behind the scenes to ensure the evening ran smoothly.

Community events like this only succeed because so many people are willing to come together in support of one another.

We deeply appreciate the community’s continued support and are already looking forward to next year’s Bee.
