Grafton concert to benefit legal aid for detained immigrants

GRAFTON-United Way of Windham County; Supporters of Democracy Grafton, VT; and the Vermont Asylum Assistance Project (VAAP) will host the “Freedom for All” concert, a special evening of music and advocacy,Thursday, July 30, at 7 p.m. at Grafton Community Church, 55 Main St.

Framed as both an act of resistance and a beacon of hope, the concert invites the community on a musical journey through opera, musical theater, art song, and folk anthems. The event will feature performances by soloists Tricia Suriani and David Naughton.

All donations and ticket sales from the event will support the work of the VAAP, which provides essential legal representation and help for immigrants currently detained in Vermont, ensuring they have access to fair and just legal processes.

Tickets are $25. Due to the venue’s limited seating capacity, community members are encouraged to reserve tickets early. To purchase tickets, donate, or for more information about the event, visit unitedwaywindham.org/freedom-all-concert.
